Mission Statement
New Hanover Church's mission statement for family enrichment is to care for and to equip families to live Christian life to the fullest.
Ministries
New Hanover realizes the importance of a quality family time. That is why we develop and organize many ministries specifically around the family.
Health and Care Ministries
Care ministries provide care and love to those in need. Some example of these ministries are Card Ministry, Baskets to homebound, and Bereavement.
Food For Thought (FFT)
Join us for a great "home-cooked" dinner and programs for all ages each Wednesday evening beginning 2nd Wednesday in September and running through the 1st Wednesday in June. Dinner is served from 5:30 - 6:15.
Food for Thought provides a mid-week time to connect with the faith community for encouragement, support and nurture. It is also a unique opportunity for participants of all three worship service styles to get to know each other and form friendships across age and style boundaries.
Each evening begins with dinner, followed by opportunities for spiritual nurture for adults, youth and children. Children's programs for preschoolers through grade 5 begin at 6pm, as well as Adult Small groups. At 6:30pm, adult classes, adult Bible Study and Youth Bible Study begin. All activities end at 7:30pm. A nursery is available for infants through 2-year-olds
Men's and Women's Ministries
The men's and women's ministries provide opportunities for bonding and fellowship for men and women.
Men's Ministries:
Men's Breakfasts: Join us for great food, fellowship and speaker four Saturday mornings each year. Our next breakfast is coming in April. Click here for more information.
Wednesday Morning Men's Group:, 6:00 to 7:30 am in the Rowe room. We will use a DVD-based curriculum by Robert Lewis entitled, "Winning at Work and Home" which is the year 2 segment of the Men's Fraternity series begun last year. There will also be time for men to process and discuss the material in small groups. This is the second year study for the Men’s Fraternity group, and all men are invited to attend. The group will run from September through March.
